Export guide — Lorex

Pull a day of footage off your Lorex recorder

Lorex recorders share their menus with a couple of underlying manufacturers, so yours will match one of these paths. You'll need a USB stick (32 GB or larger). When you're done, head back to the upload steps.

01

Plug your USB stick into the recorder

Use a free USB port on the recorder (unplug the mouse temporarily if both ports are taken — plug it back after).

02

Open the backup menu

Right-click → Main MenuVideoBackup (on some models it's directly Backup on the main menu).

03

Choose camera, day, and hours

Pick the channel showing your main sales floor, set the date and your open-to-close hours.

04

Export as MP4

Choose MP4 as the file type where offered, select the USB stick, and start the backup. A full day takes a while — leave it running.

Multiple file chunks? Recorders often split a day into many files — totally fine. Send the whole folder via Smash.

Using a computer instead? The Lorex Client / Lorex Cloud desktop apps can do it too: Playback → select camera & time range → Download.

Questions or a different camera brand? Email hello@aspen-insights.com with the brand name on your recorder — we'll send you the exact steps.
