This is what one day of footage tells you.
Below: a sample analysis of a single day at a real independent store,
from one existing ceiling camera. Nothing was installed — the owner exported the
footage, we did the rest.
Zone names are the store's own shorthand. Every number below came out
of the footage automatically — people are tracked as anonymous stick figures, never
identified.
What shoppers did, by action
The almost-sold gap: 21 reaches became only 2 pickups —
and 12 put-backs. Shoppers are finding the display, touching the product, and
changing their minds. That's a merchandising fix, not a traffic problem — and it's
invisible in POS data.
Then you just ask it questions

Which zone gets touched the most but converts the worst?
Aspen
The rear rack zone (RR) — it drew 6 of your 15 tracked shoppers,
generated the most reach-ins, but most of them ended in put-backs rather than
pickups. Shoppers engage there and bail. Worth checking price visibility or
sizing at that rack — want the hour-by-hour breakdown?
